in support of Billy: The Early Years
Finally, someone has made the kind of family-friendly film we've been asking for!
Mary Graham President, Women of Faith
A great film not only entertains, but also inspires and challenges all who see it. “Billy: The Early Years” is that type of movie. As Billy Graham’s long-time publisher, we always knew of this amazing untold story, but to see it come to life on the screen in such an excellent way is a very moving experience. We are also proud to now be publishing the book, Billy, and cannot wait for others to hear of this incredible account. We have all been challenged in our faith at some point in our lives and Billy Graham is no exception. His crisis of friendship, faith, and his eventual victory over doubt will inspire the world.
Matt Baugher Vice President & Publisher Thomas Nelson, Inc
My two greatest concerns before I saw the film were 1. Would the Gospel of Jesus Christ be presented clearly? And 2. Would this film present daddy and mother in a positive way? I was very pleased that yes, the Gospel is clearly presented and my daddy, my mother and the ministry are all presented in a most positive way.
GiGi Graham Oldest daughter of Billy and Ruth Graham
Anyone who knows me knows of my immense respect for Billy Graham. I wanted to be a part of this project to, in some small way, pay tribute to him – and to Ruth. There is a very small handful of people who actually impact culture and society. Without a doubt, Billy did that. I hope this project gives people a glimpse into his life and into what made him the man he is.
Michael W. Smith Recording Artist
I endorse this movie one hundred percent. I watched it from beginning to end and was really impressed by it. What a powerful story of two men and their choices. One chose to walk with Jesus and his life was full. One chose to walk away from Jesus and his heart was empty and he lived in misery. I know that when this movie goes out to theaters it will really pack a whallup.
Rosa Montgomery Ruth Graham's sister
Billy was and still is America's pastor.
Reverend Bruce Davenport Minister of Pastoral Care/Senior Adults Langston Baptist Church
I don't know if it is more the achievement of the filmmakers, or the compelling nature of the life being honored, but 'Billy' manages to provide a thoughtful and poignant look at the early days of Billy Graham. Like the man himself, the film is sure to inspire and uplift even the most hardened of hearts.
Scott Anderson Director Projecting Hope Film Festivals
The movie will be an encouragement to all pastors, and everyone. Every Christian can attest to have gone through a time like Charles Templeton but in the end make the same decision Billy made.
Pastor Al Vancopper Forestville Baptist Church Greenville, South Carolina
I was impressed with how closely the movie's script sticks to the facts of Dr. Graham's life story. I appreciate the care and respect that was shown by the writers, producers, director, and cast of BILLY: THE EARLY YEARS.
Wayne Shepherd Wayne Shepherd Communications and former Programming Manager and host at WMBI/Moody Broadcasting Network
I think this movie has the potential to introduce the very powerful and very human story of Billy Graham to an entirely new generation who knows him by name but little else. The key themes of spiritual journey, authentic personal relationships, and honest struggling with doubts about faith will resonate with students and young adults in a compelling and challenging way.
Jay Strother Minister to Emerging Generations, Brentwood Baptist Church, TN
I haven't seen the movie, but the previews alone were awesome. I was moved by his sermon given in 1949. If I weren't already a child of God, I would have given my life to Christ at that moment from watching the previews online. I believe this movie will touch many lives and those in the body of Christ should take a nonbeliever to see this movie. I know that I will try to do when it comes or perhaps have a viewing at church once the movie comes out on dvd.
Dr. Jeannette Taylor Youth Leader / Evangelist, Corinthian Baptist Church
"Inspires to continue on."
"Portraits the battle we face today and must stand for faith."
“Delivers hope.”
“Never count him out.”
R. Grant Barron, Church Relations for Messenger International
What a unique perspective on the early life of Billy Graham as seen through the eyes of Chuck Templeton.
Melissa Lemke, Development Director of Hope's Promise
The film ‘Billy’ is one of the most inspirational and touching movies that portrays the truth and love of God in its entirety.
Kevin Govro, Executive Director of Justice Ministries
Though provoking. Captures the struggle in all of us.
Allen Reedall, Missionary, trip leader and ministry authorized representative, E3 Partners
Powerful and moving. A real testimony to the life and faith of Billy Graham. This film will open hearts to the truth of the gospel.
